Built in the 17th century, the building is today very damaged by the sea spray from the nearby Mediterranean, as is its wrought iron campanile. Despite a previous restoration carried out around thirty years ago, the municipality and the church are mobilizing public solidarity to finance the preservation of this local heritage.
This emblematic place of the village continually attracts vacationers and passers-by, who do not fail to linger to immortalize the panorama. It was also under this same bell tower that the actress's funeral took place almost a year ago.
The renovation project must be completed next spring in order to offer a perfect panorama for the return of tourists.
