A third day of mobilization took place on Saturday in Marseille with the departure of a procession without union security and without a predefined route.
The demonstrators denounced the high cost of living, global warming, the rise of the far right and police repression.
The mobilization also brought together parents and grandparents alongside the students, forming a procession described as wild and joyful until the end of the afternoon before small groups were formed.
This demonstration comes as high school students have been demanding more resources, more teachers and more money in the public service for a month.
The crowd broke out into song, with many participants dressed up for Halloween at the gathering.
The movement remained calm until its gradual dislocation at the end of the day.
“This is why we will continue to be on the street, as long as the government has not received our SOS, the youth are in precariousness and we no longer have the means to study,” said Elia, a student. “And there are not only young people in the procession, there are also parents, grandparents,” she also noted.
