During a press conference on October 29, the antiterrorism prosecutor indicated that Kévin Tessier had at his home objects and stickers glorifying the RN, without however belonging to the far-right party. The number of proceedings related to the violent radical far right has been growing for several years, noted the national antiterrorism prosecutor, Olivier Christen, on Tuesday, November 3, on RTL.

Over these past two years, nine investigations have been opened, including four in 2026, a level never before reached for the violent radical far right, franceinfo learned from the Pnat, which did not wish to detail the cases concerned.

Two weeks after the racist attack in Trappes, the prosecutor warned of the rise of this threat in France.

The National Antiterrorism Prosecutor's Office (Pnat) has never opened so many investigations linked to this movement.

For the first time, the Pnat has taken up a homicide case linked to the far right.

Kévin Tessier's act is more in line with that of Christophe B., the main suspect in the attack carried out on June 1, 2025 in Puget-sur-Argens (Var).
