It is 19 years since Gary and Phil Neville were the last brothers to play together for England. It was put to Tuchel that his squad had the look of an England 2.0.
Family comments in the evidence included that it would mean more than any of the trophies won, that Jude always behaves like a big brother taking care of his younger brother, and that it would be the biggest dream of a lifetime.
Tuchel had been tense at the start of the get-together as he was assailed by the fallout from the World Cup semi-final defeat by Argentina.
Tuchel has also given a recall to the more experienced right-back Ben White.
Tuchel said it was a special moment to break the news of the call-up to Jobe on a video call. He accidentally referred to him as “Jube” at one point, a slip others are likely to repeat. “It was a bit of an up and down but we are in a good place,” Tuchel said.
