"I think that the speeches of the far right, such as 'Trappes is the city with all the jihadists or the S files', it is these speeches which pushed Kévin T.
This resident, who has lived in the city for 25 years after being born and raised there, testifies on condition of anonymity out of fear and refuses to show her face.
Since this racist attack, fear has spread throughout the city where residents remain particularly vigilant.
A resident of Trappes (Yvelines) expresses her fear and astonishment following the racist attack perpetrated in the town by Kévin T.
She cites in particular the idea that “Trappes is the town with all the jihadists or S files” to illustrate the stigma suffered by the town. “I think that the speeches of the extreme right [...] these are the speeches which pushed Kévin T,” she declared. Marked by fear, she confides her persistent anxiety:"So, I'm afraid of being dead, since I'm Muslim.".
The resident calls into question the speeches of the extreme right and certain political words which, according to her, “stir up violence” and pushed the perpetrator. She evokes a life cut down “for free, without having asked for anything, because he is black…”.
Out of fear, a resident who has lived in Trappes for 25 years does not want to show her face.
We can clearly see that the people of Trappes look almost everywhere, to the right, to the left.
Since the attack, she has been in the same state of astonishment.
