In Paris, Lyon, Bordeaux, Lille and Nice, these measures began between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Monday. In Paris, the curfew was respected last night, but it arouses anger.

The first curfews, decided after the looting and violence that occurred on the sidelines of the demonstrations of October 17, came into force on Monday in several cities in France.

“Even if we haven't done anything, we don't have the right to stay seated in a square,” testifies Ilyes, a 17-year-old high school student present on the Place de la République last night.

A helicopter flew over Paris last night as part of the curfew established at Place de la République and in the Les Halles district.

Many Internet users alerted this weekend about the resale of objects stolen during the looting, via platforms such as Vinted or Leboncoin.
