Visiting Brussels this Friday, October 16, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is requesting additional financial aid of 70 billion euros for Ukrainian defense in order to better resist Russia.
“It is a realistic amount, completely realistic and I ask you to find the means to provide us with this support,” declared the Ukrainian leader, present to convince his European allies to continue helping his country after more than four and a half years of war.
For their part, the allies affirmed that they would not give up on Ukraine and the Ukrainians in the face of this war of Russian aggression.
On the ground, the situation remains unchanged: Moscow bombs Ukraine daily, notably hitting Odessa last night and Zaporizhia, a few weeks before a much-feared winter.
