For 2027-2032, Ligue 1 match scheduling will remain as it is today: one fixture on Friday at 8:45 p.m., five on Saturday (5:15 p.m. and a multiplex at 8:45 p.m.) and three on Sunday (3 p.m., 5:15 p.m. and 8:45 p.m.). Candidates will therefore submit their bids blindly. The verdict is set for 7 p.m. on December 4. They have one month to respond.
The Ligue de football professionnel (LFP) has launched a call for tenders for Ligue 1 rights for the 2027-2032 period, brought forward by two years from the original schedule (2029-2034).
Besides the check, the LFP will first evaluate qualitative criteria: exploitation, showcasing, communication and the fight against piracy.
The reserve price, identical in both cases, will remain secret until the result. The LFP has been sounding out the market since July.
If a platform chooses exclusive broadcasting of Ligue 1+, it may or may not handle editorial and technical production, and may sub-distribute the channel to other platforms. Two configurations are offered: the sale of television rights to the matches, or exclusive distribution of the Ligue 1+ channel to a platform.
The buyer will have to provide a financial guarantee, to avoid a fiasco comparable to that of Mediapro in 2021.
The amount to be paid will increase by 2% per season from 2028-2029.
