A suspect and two other accomplices have just tried to force the metal curtain of a jewelry store in the early morning, without managing to gain entry. To do this, they used a hydraulic cylinder.
This equipment is one of the objects targeted by an increase in thefts from fire stations, a phenomenon which is growing and which worries the authorities.
These hydraulic cylinders or extrication pliers are initially used by emergency services during road accidents, before being diverted to burglarize jewelry stores.
The hydraulic cylinder used in this attempt has since been returned to the firefighters.
