The Six Kings Slam tennis exhibition event in Saudi Arabia, which was set to feature Grand Slam champions Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, and Alexander Zverev, has been postponed following a series of deadly attacks on the host city of Riyadh.
Alcaraz, Djokovic, and Zverev were scheduled to travel to the Saudi capital for a three-day event starting on 21 October. The event had been in serious doubt since Yemen's Houthi movement launched weekend attacks on Saudi Arabia, including a missile strike on Riyadh's airport on Saturday that killed 13 people and wounded more than 300.
Additionally, Saudi Pro League fixtures between Al-Riyadh and Al-Hilal, and Al-Ittihad against Al-Shabab in Jeddah, have been pushed back until December. The developments follow targeted oil and gas facilities, prompting Saudi Arabia's energy minister to vow a serious response against the Iran-backed Houthis.
