Russia has accused Ukraine of attacking an oil refinery following a statement by Volodymyr Zelensky that a pause on striking energy sites is over and such attacks would resume.

According to Russia's defence ministry, four missiles and dozens of drones were intercepted, and falling debris caused a fire at the site in Ryazan.

Zelensky stated that the pause on striking energy sites is over following fresh Russian attacks. He accused Russia of ignoring a proposed deal within hours of its announcement, with strikes leaving hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians without power.

The Ukrainian president also accused the US of withdrawing intelligence-sharing on Russian strikes to pressure Kyiv into ending the attacks altogether after striking a deal to import Russian diesel, and claimed that restrictions to Starlink satellite services used by the military were deliberate.
