RC Lens suffered a 9-1 humiliation against Como on Wednesday, under the jeers of their own fans.
A gala RC Lens was needed. We glimpsed it for three brief minutes after kickoff.
RCL becomes the first French team to concede nine goals in the Champions League.
Como then took control of the game, with crushing technical dominance.
Beaten down and without reaction, the Lensois collapsed, incapable of the slightest collective response.
It is the heaviest defeat of a French club in Champions League history.
The Blood and Gold also concede their third consecutive loss in the competition.
They failed to plug the enormous gaps in their defense.
Como's attackers poured through them almost without opposition.
Sparkling, Como's playmaker Nico Paz drove the point home before the break (0-3, 40th).
