Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that a man accused of plotting an assassination attack against him and his defence minister has been detained.
Police received credible information regarding possible attacks, prompting Polish security services to convene a special meeting on Sunday. A spokesman stated that officials were treating the threat as deadly serious.
Tusk thanked the police for their swift and decisive action in arresting the suspect. Tusk has served as Polish prime minister since 2023, after previously holding the office from 2007 to 2014.
