NHS organisations that care for millions of people in England are rejecting Palantir’s patient data technology, according to freedom of information responses. Health bodies across the country stated that the controversial US firm’s data platform is no better than systems already in use, believing they can find better or equal alternatives in many cases.
While some health bodies noted that the £330m federated data platform operated by the company had made it easier to manage waiting lists and improved surgery scheduling, others from Gateshead to Truro reported declining to use it or reverting to old systems after carrying out trials.
