The study indicates that before and after the mobilization of Saturday October 17, this network tried and is still trying to amplify calls for violence and divert demands to the advantage of the Kremlin. To do this, the organization analyzed more than 500,000 posts on social networks.

From the beginning of September, the report noted that fake online accounts and fake news articles tried to interfere in the movement. The protest arose in high schools in September, before quickly being parasitized by foreign interference, particularly Russian.

As part of this operation, the real demands against the high cost of living made by the demonstrators are transformed into a pro-Russian speech which calls for an end to French aid to Ukraine.

A Russian network is the source of at least 600 coordinated messages before October 17, accumulating more than 7 million views on social networks. This is what reveals a report from the pro-democracy and apartheid NGO Alliance4Europe, published Wednesday October 21 and taken up by numerous media and experts.

The NGO specifies, however, that the high school mobilization and that of October 17 are indeed French and were not created by Russia. The high school mobilization against the high cost of living continues with demonstrations planned for today and this weekend.
