The new height of Mont Blanc is established at 4,807 meters and 45 centimeters in the fall of 2026, according to the measurement revealed on Wednesday October 14 by the expert surveyors of Haute-Savoie.
This highest mountain in Europe is measured every year by these experts who climb to the roof of Europe to record its height.
This figure represents almost two meters more than the last measurement revealed in 2023, but less than in 2024 and 2025, illustrating the variability in the thickness of the ice cap which covers the rocky part.
Over a period of twenty-five years, taking all the measurements, the average is around 4,808 meters and 80 centimeters.
