Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez has criticized the club's hierarchy for failing to strengthen the squad after qualifying for the Champions League.
The Red Devils finished third in the Premier League last term to secure a return to the Champions League for the first time in three years.
United's only other win in nine matches this season came against newly promoted Ipswich at Old Trafford, and their most recent victory was against Azerbaijani champions Sabah FK on 10 September.
Martinez stated that players must do more, but emphasized the importance of building a strong squad to be ready, adding that it is easy to blame the coach and players while other areas must also be examined. His view was echoed by external observers and mentioned by some inside Old Trafford.
