For several weeks, in the processions of high school demonstrations, Internet culture has been everywhere and is present in every slogan as well as on every sign.
“Memes,” which are humorous images or phrases that are twisted and repeated over and over, are one example among many of Internet references used by Gen Z to assert their rights.
Since the start of the high school movement, photos of signs have been everywhere on social networks. In one of them, a young woman dressed in blue spoils the photo in the background, leading the high school students to ask her to move, exactly as they ask the CRS.
References to Internet culture also circulated during youth mobilizations in Nepal.
