This amount exceeds the initial objective which was set at 300,000 euros. Faced with this outpouring of solidarity, expectations have been raised with a new objective set at one million euros. More than 600,000 euros in donations were collected on the Heritage Foundation website to finance the reconstruction of the Limoges town hall, burned down during the mobilization of October 17.
More than 6,000 people and organizations have made a donation since last Tuesday to participate in this reconstruction effort. The State has committed to financing 80% of the reconstruction of Limoges town hall.
