European airlines were hit again by a new wave of bomb threats, the third such incident this week.
France reported that at least four of its flights were targeted. All of those aircraft landed safely.
The Irish government nonetheless warned that the episode was a likely coordinated campaign of disruption.
Ireland’s public broadcaster RTÉ was among the high-profile outlets that received threats.
As carriers dealt with the latest warnings, several media organisations were also evacuated after similar messages.
No link has been established between the threats against airlines and those against the media outlets.
It is not known who is responsible, or whether the effort is centralised.
The latest alerts followed disruption earlier in the week that affected nearly 30 aircraft and several airports across Europe.
Gardaí said they were aware of a threat made against media organisations in Ireland and elsewhere in Europe. He said the warnings were being taken seriously.
