Elon Musk has changed his position on Ukraine several times since 2022, but he has always maintained that any malfunctions were the responsibility of the American government, and not his company SpaceX. The use of Starlink for these future jet interceptor drones will no longer be possible if the speed is restricted. This request is now one of three requests demanded by Ukraine in exchange for a halt to strikes against Russian refineries.

This is a new stage in the standoff between kyiv and Elon Musk. SpaceX's services, however, make it possible to carry out operations in occupied Ukrainian territory, at medium range.
