The Portuguese Football Federation decided, Monday, October 19, to impose a thirty-day suspension on Cristiano Ronaldo for leaving the national team gathering after a conflict with his coach.
The affair began on September 30 when the 41-year-old left the selection, furious to learn that he would not start the Nations League match against Denmark in Copenhagen, scheduled for the next day.
The Disciplinary Council of the Portuguese Football Federation had previously opened disciplinary proceedings against the star following this departure in the middle of a rally.
The sanction being retroactive and having taken effect on September 30, the Seleçao star will therefore be available from the next international window, scheduled for mid-November.
