Since his arrest, the 14-year-old teenager, suspected of having opened fire in a college in Aubagne at the start of the week, has been the subject of false information on social networks, particularly from political leaders.
After this shooting, officials from different political parties attributed motives to the alleged assailant, even before an investigation had begun. Éric Zemmour, guest on BFM TV the same evening of the attack, notably established a link between the shooting and the question of immigration.
Since then, the suspect's profile has given rise to numerous theories on social networks. Some Internet users detected this false information and reported it in the community X notes, while on this database, several cities display rates significantly higher than that of Aubagne.
