A branch of the Lyon tourist office was ransacked and set on fire on Saturday October 17, on the sidelines of the demonstration.
Since the end of the morning, groups of hooded young people have launched projectiles and fireworks against the police, who responded with tear gas, disencirclement grenades and a water cannon.
The Rhône prefecture specified that the police are undertaking maneuvers to disperse the violent groups while the firefighters are prevented from accessing the fire.
